There are thousands of Independence Day celebrations all across this beautiful land so you’ll definitely find a fireworks display to watch with your loved ones. In the Colorado Springs area, you can head to the 4th of July Celebration at Memorial Park. You’ll see the Colorado Springs Philharmonic Orchestra and an amazing fireworks show. Activities and concessions will begin at 5:30 p.m., the orchestra will perform at 7:30 p.m., and the fireworks will begin at dusk. Other area festivities include Cripple Creek’s 4th of July Celebration, with live music, food vendors, and a beer garden all starting at noon at City Park and Brass Ass Parking Lot. The fireworks will start around 9:30 p.m.
- As we age, we might not get out with friends as much, but it’s important to find the right social outlet for you! Check out the next Mix and Mingle at the Colorado Springs Senior Center, part of the Pike’s Peak YMCA. Enjoy drinks and appetizers while mingling with new friends! The next event is Thursday, July 19, and the cost is only $5.
The 78th annual Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo is July 11-14, at the Norris-Penrose Event Center. Cowboys, cowgirls, bulls, horses, wrestling, barrel racing, and more! This is a great show and fun for all ages! A parade will kick off the event, on Tuesday, July 10. Tickets bought in advance will be a discounted and prices will increase on July 9.
