Things to do in Colorado Springs in February
February is cold and your home is warm, but don’t get caught with cabin fever this winter! There are plenty of things to do and opportunities to get out and enjoy what the community has to offer. Here are a few options to get you out of the house this month:
Colorado Springs Home & Landscape Expo is this February 7-9, at the Norris-Penrose Event Center. The expo will have experts on home improvements, remodeling, and landscaping. If you are interested in ways to improve your home’s function, design, or exterior appearance, this is the place to be! - The AARP CO Theater League presents, A Beautiful. On Tuesday, February 25, and 7:30pm, you can join AARP members and guests for this performance about music legend Carol King. Watch talented actors, listen to beautiful music, and be inspired by the true story about King’s rise to stardom. Click here to learn more.
- Tai Chi is a gentle exercise that can help to improve balance, strength, and flexibility. The slow, graceful movements, along with the deep breathing exercises make it a great activity for seniors. Many veterans also find the calming effects of Tai Chi to be a good way to combat symptoms related to PTSD. Mt. Caramel Veterans Service Center offers a Tai Chi class every Saturday at 10 a.m. The February schedule include Feb 1, 8, 15, 22, and 29.
Don’t let the cold get you down or keep you inside. There are still plenty of things to do in the Colorado Springs area to help you beat that cabin fever.
